Monthly In-Person Meetings
Each month, the The North Carolina Governor’s Working Group on Veterans, Service Members, and their Families (NC GWG) hosts a forum for all those who touch a veteran’s life in the state of North Carolina to collaborate and coordinate. Each meeting has a specific topic pertaining to veteran challenges, and is a great professional development opportunity for those wanting to learn more about federal, state, and local resources as well as how to better serve our military population.
Anyone is able to register and attend, for free! The meetings are right here in Raleigh, so we encourage you to participate.
Can’t make it in person? No problem! The meetings are live streamed and also posted on Youtube after the meeting for you to view.
Please visit NCGWG.org to read more, register for the next event, and view past meetings.
NC STRIVE Conference
The goal of NC STRIVE is to provide services and support leading to Student Veterans’ success in two-year and four-year public and private institutions of higher education in North Carolina. NC STRIVE accomplishes this goal through conferences targeting administrators, support staff, and faculty.
Four regional conferences are planned each year. These conferences equip administrators, faculty and staff in higher education with information, resources, and networking that will enhance the experience and success of student Veterans in their pursuit of certificates and degrees.
The cost is free, but registration is required. Please check the NC STRIVE website for more information, as well as view past conference presentations.
